Solution
To maintain power to the home during power outages, Comfort First Heating & Cooling installed a 20 kW Briggs & Stratton whole-home standby generator, a 200-amp transfer switch, grounding rods, and a wireless monitoring device and ran gas lines to the generator. We pulled mechanical and electrical permits.

“I’m a single parent with 4 kids and dreaded snow and ice storms for worry of power outages (which happen frequently even on sunny days it seems here). I don’t worry about the weather as much and can enjoy it more. I also work from home, so having a backup means less time off work for outages. I wanted an easy solution as I am not comfortable with gas/manual generators. I love that it detects the issues and just works without me having to go outside.
