Additionally, be sure to clean out your gutters to avoid potential flooding and roof damage! Prepare For Extended Outages With A Generator: 

Power outages are likely to occur during a heavy storm. However, there is no telling how long an outage will last. While it may be rather easy to go about business as usual for a few hours without power, living without basic appliances for even a few days can be a major inconvenience at best.
